The Buddy League by Chase Miller
Bright and early on a Saturday The sky blue and grass dewy. For some it's just a game, for others, it's a chance to be a kid. Multicolored pom-poms wave as teary parents cheer for their child. Legs in braces or in wheelchairs, they race around the red clay basepath, with smiling faces. Volunteers feel good about themselves for being a part of something so great. For one hour every week, each kids gets to be normal, just like me.
